Safety confirmation test
Human safety confirmation test
Human testing for final confirmation of safety of a product, such as cosmetics and quasi drug, is essential in product development. We propose a wide range of tests, from standard tests including human patch tests, RIPT, stinging tests, comedogenicity evaluation and tests for infants and people with atopy including those diagnosed by a dermatologist.

**Other tests**
A test product is used by test subjects for a specific period with a method specified by the customer, and a dermatologist checks that no skin problems have occurred. We can also conduct questionnaire surveys to learn how it feels to use the product, its perceived effects, and other information. We adjust the number of test subjects and period of use as requested by each customer.
**We can help you recruit test subjects.**
We can also send test subjects to specific facilities, give them explanations about the test, and obtain their consent, so that the customer is able to only concentrate on measurement.
in vitro safety test
We are ready to introduce customers to a range of alternatives to animal testing, including tests using cultured cells. We conduct tests in accordance with each guideline at test facilities in a range of countries in addition to Japan.

Test name | Outline |
---|---|
Observation of skin penetration kinetics using PM-SRS | Skin penetration kinetics observation technology utilizing phase modulation induced Raman scattering (PM-SRS) is used to confirm the permeability of various components in 3D cultured skin by directly observing and imaging the substances of interest. |
Skin penetration test using Franz diffusion cell | The permeability of the test substance is evaluated using artificial membranes, cultured skin, or human explanted skin in the diffusion cell. |
